Eastwood started with ten men but went out with a positive attitude and managed to produce one of their best team performances for a long time against a strong Ilkeston Team. Eastwood went in at half time with a 4-1 lead . Ilkeston were still threatening but Eastwood maintained their discipline and ran out 6-2 winners. Every player put a good shift in so each one got man of match. Credit to Ilkeston who never gave up and played the game in a good sporting manner. Eastwood scorers were Curtis Rigley (2), Freddie Place, Alex Clifton, Finlay Billson and Josh Armstrong. Finlay Haywood and Jack Townsend scored or Ilkeston.
I have no right to make assumptions about the degree to which any of you may already be compromised. I must not assume that you have ever first neglected, and finally shaken off, friends whom you really loved and who might have lasted you a lifetime, in order to court the friendship of those who appeared to you more important, more esoteric. I must not ask whether you have derived actual pleasure from the loneliness and humiliation of the outsiders after you, yourself were in: whether you have talked to fellow members of the Ring in the presence of outsiders simply in order that the outsiders might envy; whether the means whereby, in your days of probation, you propitiated the Inner Ring, were always wholly admirable.
CAIR encourages law enforcement in its work—so long as it does not involve counterterrorism. Wissam Nasr, the head of CAIR's New York office, explains : "The Muslim community in New York wants to play a positive role in protecting our nation's security, but that role is made more difficult if the FBI is perceived as pursuing suspects much more actively than it is searching for community partners." Nasr would have the FBI get out of the unpleasant business of "pursuing suspects" and instead devote itself to building social good will—through CAIR, naturally.
